MEET WYATT
I'm Wyatt Stanford. I am currently a senior majoring in public relations at the University of Oklahoma. Photography is a visual way of storytelling, a tradition which is deep in my roots.
I'm a citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Storytelling is an important aspect of Choctaw culture and takes on many forms including dance and song.
In my case, storytelling is visual. Each picture is a story truly worth a thousand words which can be told a thousand different ways. Let me help you tell your story the way you want to tell it.

One of the most recognizable landmarks in my hometown, McAlester, Oklahoma.

A beaded seal on a powwow dancer's regalia. Choctaw Nation Labor Day Festival 2016, Tushka Homma, Oklahoma.

All it took was my camera, a tripod and my cell phone screen. Long-exposure on a snowy night in January 2017.

Sts. Cyril and Methodius Russian Orthodox Church is one of Hartshorne, Oklahoma's most famous sites. It's onion-shaped domes rise above what was called Russian Hill at the corner of Third Street and Modoc Avenue.

Completed in 1624, Rosenborg Castle was home to Danish royalty. It now houses the Danish royal jewels in Copenhagen.

A spectacular sunset captured at the city lake of Hartshorne one cold day in January 2017.

This water drop was captured in a fountain at the corner of First Street and Washington Avenue in McAlester.

One night in July 2017, I drove 45 minutes to the Talimena Scenic Drive just north of Talihina, Oklahoma, to capture the Milky Way high in the sky with minimal light pollution.
